Purple Go Frame Book puts your frame selection on your tabletop. Your customers can now browse your entire frames collection on an iPad in your office while they're waiting.
If you haven't already done so, you should install the Purple Go app on your iPad. To do so you can follow these instructions: Getting Started
1. Import Your Inventory
To get started, you should have already set up your inventory. You can contact your customer representative to get you set up for the first time. More information on how to export inventory from your EHR and import into Purple Go app: Import Inventory
If you're an existing Purple Go customer, you should already be set up with your store's inventory. More information how to add inventory from Purple Go app: Add Inventory
2. Set Up Your iPad in Guided Access Mode
You want to set up you iPad in Guided Access mode so customers can only access the Frame Book without accessing any other apps on your iPad. They won't be able to get out iPad Guided Access Mode unless they have the passcode. Make sure it keep it safe.
From your iPad:
Open "Settings"
Go to "General" > "Accessibility"
Tap on "Guided Access" (Scroll down the page a little, it’s under the "Learning" section)
Flip the switch to "ON"
Tap on "Passcode Settings"
Tap on "Set Passcode" (this will prevent users from leaving "Guided Access" mode)
Enter a passcode
3. Launch Purple Go App
Start the Purple Go app on your iPad.
4. Enter Frame Book from the iPad
When you're logging in:
From the home screen, tap on frame book icon. You'll be prompted to create a frame book passcode to enter and exit out of frame book mode. This will keep your customers data protected and allow only browsing of your frames inventory. You can switch out of frame book mode into manager mode later.
When you're in the home screen:
From the home screen, tap on upper right hand frame book icon. You'll be prompted to create a frame book passcode to enter and exit out of frame book mode. This will keep your customers data protected and allow only browsing of your frames inventory.
6. Put iPad in Kiosk Mode
With Purple Go app open and in Frame Book mode. Triple-click the Home button. You have now entered the “Guided Access” setup screen. Purple Go Frame Book is now in kiosk mode. This will protect your customer data and management data from being tampered with.
How to Get your iPad Out of Guided Access Mode
Triple-click the Home button and enter the iPad Guided Access passcode.
How to Exit Frame Book Mode
If you want to exit out frame book mode and switch to manager mode to start managing your store you can do so by tapping on the upper right button button. You'll be prompted to enter your frame book passcode.
